More than 10 years ago, what began as a hobby by one of the Khouri brothers, became the start of a most exciting adventure taking the whole Khouri family to new heights around the world, and involved them with some truly amazing people in a business that has turned out to be extraordinary in its size, amazing in its achievements and breathtaking in its future.
From very humble beginnings, “The Bufori Motor Car Company” has evolved and developed into a highly reputable and prestigious manufacturer of exotic hand made sports cars. It has attracted the attention of international editorial press and electronic media, as well as the richest buyers who are lovers of fine quality automobiles, thus creating a sales market to some 40 countries, which had propelled this company to great success, and a potentially most exciting and profitable future.
From its roots in Australia, Bufori became the only company producing motor vehicles to be licensed by the Advance Australia Council to carry the “Australian Made Logo”.
The Bufori Motor Car Company (M) Sdn. Bhd. is a proprietary company limited by shares and registered in Malaysia on the 29th of July 1998. It’s factory, office and showroom are located in Kuala Lumpur. In May 1999, our company was granted a Motor Vehicle manufacturing license and followed shortly with all other necessary licenses and approvals as well as qualifying for pioneer status together with all associated benefits.
Under the helmship of the three Khouri brothers, Gerry, George and Anthony, as well as Abdul Razak Harun, the Bufori operation began in its present form in Malaysia, with an Authorised Capital of RM50 Million and a Paid-Up Capital of more than RM29 Million, and with their uncompromising commitment and vision, the company is now progressing well on sound commercial foundations and geared towards greater heights of success.
At this point in time, since all manufacturing and Research and Development is to be carried out in Malaysia, the Australian manufacturing arm has been transferred to the new facility in Kuala Lumpur and production is finally under way.
Although active global marketing has yet to begin, past successful export experience from Australia plus most encouraging current local sales with minimal marketing, give us a very good and positive indication that this venture is indeed a winner. Our special and distinct market advantage is the fact that our cars are completely and totally hand made.
With undiminished excitement and fired on by the enormity of the potential of this venture, this facility will be responsible for the ventures production and Research and Development operations; creating new models destined to become even more attractive in design complete with the finest quality finishes employing state of the art technology incorporating the use of microprocessors, composite material, etc. The BUFORI is set to create even greater in-roads into the local and overseas motoring scene to cater for the ever-growing number of future “BUFORI” owners around the world.

With a further investment of RM10 Million towards Research and Development, Bufori is carrying on its philosophy to conceive, develop and produce the finest quality hand built sports cars meeting international standards with the latest technologies that will fulfill the demands of even the most discerning individual.
It is the intention of BUFORI to produce a car with as close to 100% of Malaysian content and technology and to be able to offer our design capabilities to both international and local automotive industries.
